This role is with Polybee, a startup supported by SGInnovate.

Responsibilities

• Create a user-friendly quick start tutorial for app initialization, guiding users on proper data collection techniques.
• Integrate features that offer real-time feedback based on sensor data, such as detecting phone tilting through gyroscopic/accelerometer data and prompting users for adjustments.
• Incorporate computer vision scripts in the backend to ensure the quality of collected data. This can include QR code/Fiducial marker detection and motion blur checking.
• Implement camera calibration processes to enhance the accuracy of video collection.
• Adapt to varying lighting conditions through dynamic adjustments, ensuring the production of high-quality and sharp videos.
• Enable users to easily specify and update details related to data collection, such as plot IDs and compartments.
• Integrate account creation and login functionalities with our web application for seamless user access.
• Implement notifications to alert users when collected data has completed processing in the cloud and is ready for review on the dashboard.

What are we looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Android development or experience with cross-platform solutions like React Native, Flutter, or Lua.
• Familiarity with integrating Android applications with back-end services using RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Knowledge of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers.
• Familiarity with the open-source Android ecosystem and available libraries for common tasks.
• Experience in iOS development is a plus.
